Regular maintenance of telecommunication structures, especially steel structures such as masts and towers, is necessary and often costly. If the owners have neglected maintenance over a period of time, the resulting repairs may be very costly, and ultimately, the structure may be in danger of collapse.

In cooperation with the customer, Ramboll prepares a strategy for inspection and maintenance for both telecommunication structures and belonging site facilities, taking into account all important aspects such as lifetime saving costs, sensitivity, probability of failing parts, economy, importance, etc. The strategy seeks to optimise the use of resources to ensure high quality solutions at reasonable costs.

To assist the management of maintenance strategy and planning Ramboll has developed several tools. The software tool RamSite^TM, enables the costumer to keep track of all relevant site information for a complete telecommunication infrastructure.
